"Boz" is a Multi Best In Show winner (All Breeds) and Specialty Challenge winner. "Boz" was placed at each National Specialty he was exhibited at. He has titled children and grandchildren in Australia and overseas. "Boz" titled at 15 months of age from the Junior Class in Victoria in heavy competition. "Boz" was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in his left shoulder in September 2001. We were told we probably wouldn't have him by Christmas 2001. After seeing his condition unchanged for a few years we consulted another Vet only to find that the original diagnosis was totally wrong and what had been diagnosed as bone cancer was in fact a calcium build up!
In May 2003, "Boz" was used at stud for the first time since his diagnosis, in fact his previous litter was born in December 2000. He was mated to "Lacey". She whelped on 26 July 2003, 4 Black Males, 3 Black Females. We lost 5 pups from the litter due to a virus that appears to have been a particularly nasty strain of Corona Virus. The pups were 7 weeks old and had had their first vaccinations. We now vaccinate against Corona Virus at 6 weeks and 12 weeks of age. We are fortunate enough to have a daughter Sara from this litter. "Boz" mated "Gina" in late September 2003. She whelped 10 beautiful babies on 18 November 2003. On our Vet's advice, we repeated the mating to "Lacey" in November 2003. Puppies were born 21 January 2004. MYOWN INSPECTOR MORSE, will be campaigned in NSW by Sarah Hennessy (with some help from Michelle Cowin). September 2007 and aged over 12.5 years of age, he was still "living the life of Reilly", keeping the cats, Mia the Min Pin and Amy (the boarding poodle that never left) in line and letting them know who is boss dog of the house and kennels. He was still stealing our socks (his favourite pastime) and letting the dogs next door know he was out in his run. In early October 2007, Boz's health declined rapidly. His mind was sharp but his body was weakening. We tried hard to prevent making that inevitable decision but Boz was telling us otherwise. It was indeed time to allow him to be reunited with his beloved Suzi. He passed away peacefully in Greg's arms on the morning of Thursday 25 October 2007. Sleep peacefully "Bozwell T Sox". Never to be forgotten
