There are many different schools of thought on vaccinating dogs.  All agree that the initial puppy shots are essential.

Some say you must vaccinate every year after the initial puppy shots, others say the puppy shots and then the 12 month booster is sufficient protection.  Veterinary studies currently being done are tending to lean toward the latter opinion.

If you have purchased your puppy from a REGISTERED breeder you will have received a vaccination card and been told when the next vaccination is due.  Most breeders will arrange for their puppy purchasers to meet them at the Vet's Surgery and have the litter done as a group.
